City Surgical is a distributorship of Spine, Orthobiologic, Neurosurgical, Pain Management, and Orthopaedic medical products in Northern California and Northern Nevada. Our team of surgical sales representatives partner with doctors and hospitals to provide the best patient care possible by providing cutting edge, unique technologies. Our team is trained extensively on complex procedures in order to master the products we supply and assist and support the hospital team. We strive to be professional, reliable, timely, and organized in every aspect of our work. Our goal is to provide the highest quality of customer service, while putting an emphasis on outstanding patient care.

DENNIS SPRAGUE | PRINCIPAL
Founded City Surgical in 2011 with the hopes to build a company that would be able to provide surgeons and hospitals a reliable, trustworthy and dedicated team to enhance the level of surgical care for their patients. After growing up in the Bay Area, I ventured out to the University of Alabama (Roll Tide) where I earned my degree. After graduation I moved to San Francisco and started my medical career with Synthes. I have an amazing wife Adrianna who puts up with me and my crazy dedication to work and two boys Grey and Tide who teach me something new everyday.
ELIZABETH PETERSON | CLINICAL SPECIALIST
Elizabeth is an experienced and knowledgeable Clinical Specialist that aids operating room staff when using the wide array of our products. Her degree in Biomedical Engineering helped her master the various instruments and biologics to explain their technical uses. She enjoys working with our diverse portfolio of products and procedural solutions to help surgeons provide the best patient care.
MATT JOHNSON | SALES CONSULTANT, SACRAMENTO AREA
Matt earned his Bachelor’s degree from the University of California, Berkeley, where he also competed as a member of Varsity Crew. Matthew has spent the last ten years in the Medical Device industry, previously with a Fortune 100 company. He is eager to help the customers that he has built a solid foundation with to introduce them to new innovation that delivers higher levels of care at lower cost thresholds. As a regionally-somewhat-known accomplished thumb wrestler, he also spends his free time building legos and losing back-yard soccer matches with his kids.
JACK STARKEY | SALES CONSULTANT, SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA
As an associate sales consultant, Jack is responsible for business development as well as day to day case coverage in the San Francisco Bay Area. After growing up in Steamboat Springs, CO he attended the University of Colorado-Boulder where he majored in biology. He brings his experience from the Medical Sales College to his position and is excited to continue working alongside some of the best surgeons in the world.
KARA KWASNIOWSKI | ASSOCIATE SALES CONSULTANT, RENO AREA
As an Associate Sales Consultant, Kara is responsible for building accounts and case coverage in the Northern Nevada Region. She has her Bachelors of Science (B.S.) in Biology from the University of Nevada, Reno and is also a graduate from Medical Sales College. Kara plans to continue to leverage her skills by building and developing customer relations and improving patient care.
KATHIE WHATELY | OFFICE MANAGER
Kathie has been working in the Medical Distribution field for the past 10 years. She is responsible for all day to day activities within the office, including the resolution of any issues employees, vendor's and hospitals may incur.
BERT BOWERMAN | LOGISTICS MANAGER
Bert has worked for several years as City Surgical’s logistics manager. He helps provide timely and efficient delivery of equipment to hospitals as well as back to the companies we distribute. His positive attitude and willingness to be available whenever he is needed is an invaluable asset for the team.
TYLER FRAZER | ASSOCIATE SALES CONSULTANT FRESNO AREA
As an Associate Sales Consultant, Tyler is responsible for expanding the distribution within the Central Valley region with our products. He is also a graduate of Medical Sales College which provides him with the experience for building client relationships and case coverage. Tyler plans to provide surgeons with the most innovative products in order to save time in the OR, help with product accuracy, and to contribute to the most positive patient outcomes.
